A stunning and flavorful cake featuring caramelized figs atop a tender almond-flavored batter, perfect for special occasions or a luxurious treat.

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C. Grease and line a 9" cake pan with parchment.
Sprinkle brown sugar over the pan bottom, arrange fig halves on top.
Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Cream butter and sugars, then add vanilla and eggs. Fold in dry ingredients and almond flour to form batter.
Pour batter over figs, spread evenly. Bake for 45-55 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool for 30 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate. Garnish with fresh figs and honey if desired.
Notes
Use ripe figs for best flavor and caramelization.
