Ingredients

Dough

  • 1.5 cups All-Purpose flour or Einkorn flour
  • 0.5 cup Cold Unsalted Butter (cut into cubes or grated)
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 6 Tbsp Milk
  • 2 Tbsp Pure Maple Syrup
  • 4 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 0.5 cup Pecans, finely chopped

Filling

  • 0.5 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 0.5 Tbsp Pure Maple Syrup
  • 1 - 1.5 Tbsp Milk

Instructions 

  • Mix flour, salt, and baking powder. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  • Add milk and maple syrup; knead into dough. Roll out and cut into circles.
  • Combine brown sugar, chopped pecans, and maple syrup for filling.
  • Fill dough circles with pecan mixture, fold, and seal edges.
  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes until golden.
