This easy crockpot BBQ chicken recipe yields tender, flavorful pulled chicken perfect for sandwiches, salads, or tacos. Simple to prepare and cooked to perfection in your slow cooker.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (with fat trimmed off)
  • 1 1/4 cups barbecue sauce (We love sweet Baby Ray’s Honey BBQ)
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing (fat-free)
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar (can reduce or omit for less sweetness)
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • to taste salt and black pepper

Instructions 

  • Spray crockpot with non-stick spray and season chicken with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Place in crockpot.
  • Whisk together barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over chicken.
  • Cover and cook on high for 2.5-3 hours or low for 5-6 hours until chicken reaches 165°F.
  • Shred chicken in the crockpot to soak up the sauce, then serve on buns or your favorite dishes.
