A creamy and sweet coleslaw perfect as a side dish for picnics and barbecues.

Ingredients

Vegetables

  • 4 cups shredded green cabbage (about 1/2 medium head)
  • 1 cup grated carrots (about 2 medium carrots)

Dressing

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions 

  • Finely shred the cabbage and grate the carrots.
  • Whisk together mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Combine cabbage and carrots; pour dressing over and mix well.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness or tanginess if needed.
  • Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, add chopped nuts or apples.
