A delightful dessert combining sweet strawberries, creamy filling, and a crunchy pretzel crust.

Ingredients

Crust

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for crust)
  • 8 tbsp unsalted butter

Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for filling)
  • 8 oz whipped topping (thawed)

Topping

  • 1 lb strawberries (sliced)
  • 6 oz strawberry jello
  • 2 cups boiling water

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Dissolve strawberry jello in boiling water; cool to room temperature.
  • Melt butter, mix with sugar and pretzels; press into a pan and bake for 10 minutes.
  • Mix cream cheese with sugar, fold in whipped topping, and spread over cooled crust.
  • Combine sliced strawberries with cooled jello; pour over cream cheese layer.
  • Refrigerate for 2-3 hours until set.

Notes

For best results, let the salad chill overnight.
