1tablespoonbutter
1split vanilla beanvanilla bean(split and seeds removed)
3tablespoonslight agave nectar
2teaspoonsground cardamom
2teaspoonsground cloves
1teaspoonground cinnamon
1/2teaspoonfresh grated ginger
2tablespoonsflour(for work surface)
1packagepie crusts(2 per package, thawed)
1eggbeaten egg
Instructions
Cook pears in butter until they release liquid, then add vanilla, agave, spices, and ginger. Simmer until thickened, then cool.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out pie crusts and cut into 3-inch rounds.
Fill each round with pear mixture, fold over, crimp edges, and chill for 20 minutes.
Vent pies with small slits, brush with egg wash, and bake for 20-22 minutes until golden.
