Ingredients

Protein

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (Grilled or roasted chicken works best.)

Carbohydrates

  • 2 cups cooked rice (Using leftover rice is preferable for texture.)

Vegetables

  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn) (Frozen mixed vegetables work well.)

Cream and Broth

  • 1 cup cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Spices and Herbs

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • to taste Salt and pepper (Adjust according to preference.)

Cheese

  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend) (Choose your favorite type of cheese.)

Garnish

  • as needed Fresh herbs for garnish (Optional, enhances presentation.)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Mix chicken, rice, vegetables, cream of chicken, broth, herbs, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Transfer mixture to a baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs before serving if desired.

Notes

Using leftover rice and cooked chicken makes this dish quick and easy.
