Instructions
Boil noodles until al dente or use no-boil noodles.
Cook onion and garlic in olive oil, add ground beef, then simmer with marinara and Italian seasoning.
Mix ricotta, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
Layer meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, and cheese in a baking dish. Repeat layers and top with cheese.
Bake covered at 375°F (190°C) for 35 minutes, then uncover and bake 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Let rest 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with mushrooms or spinach.
