One Pot Cheeseburger Pasta

A quick and hearty one-pot meal combining classic cheeseburger flavors with pasta for a satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 455 g extra lean ground beef
  • 1 piece onion, finely chopped
  • 2 medium fresh tomatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 2 tbs tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon mustard powder
  • pinch salt and black pepper
  • 0.5 tbs Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbs sukrin gold (or another sweetener of choice)
  • 300 g uncooked penne pasta
  • 3 cups chicken stock + 1 additional cup
  • 2-3 tbs chopped pickles
  • 120 g cheddar (4xHEa's) (reserve a little for sprinkling on top)
  • to taste fresh chopped Italian parsley

Spray oil

Instructions 

  • Mix spices in a small bowl.
  • Cook ground beef and onion in a sprayed pan until browned.
  • Add spices, tomatoes, tomato paste, Worcestershire, and sweetener; stir to coat.
  • Stir in pasta, add stock, and cook for 12-14 minutes until pasta is tender.
  • Mix in pickles and cheddar until velvety; garnish with parsley and reserved cheese.

Notes

Use a good quality cheese and adjust seasoning to taste.
