A warm and comforting pear crumble with aromatic spices, perfect for a cozy dessert.

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 5 medium pears, (peeled, cored, and sliced) (preferably Bartlett)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar (can use granulated sugar if preferred)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons cold butter, (diced)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  • Place sliced pears in dish and drizzle with lemon juice.
  • Mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Work in butter until lumps form.
  • Pour topping over pears and bake for 30–35 minutes until golden and bubbling.
  • Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

Use ripe pears for best flavor and texture.
