Mom's Cranberry Walnut Bread

A delicious homemade bread combining tart cranberries and crunchy walnuts, perfect for breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups Unbleached Flour (I use Bob Mils)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 large Egg
  • 1/2 cup Orange Juice
  • Grated Orange Zest Orange Zest
  • 2 Tbsp Butter, melted

Add-ins

  • 1 cup Fresh Cranberries, cut in half or chopped in food processor
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts, chopped

Tools & Equipment

  • Basic Kitchen Gadgets (measuring spoons, cups, sifter, whisk etc)
  • Non toxic bread loaf pan
  • Food Processor

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare loaf pan.
  • Mix dry ingredients, then add cranberries.
  • Beat egg and combine with wet ingredients, then add to dry mixture.
  • Gently fold in walnuts, pour batter into pan, and bake for 50-55 minutes.
  • Cool, slice, and serve with optional toppings.

Store in an airtight container for freshness.
