Juicy chicken thighs glazed with a sweet and savory maple syrup sauce, baked to perfection for a crispy skin and tender meat.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 8 pieces bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat chicken dry, season with salt and pepper, and let sit 10 minutes.
  • Make the glaze: combine maple syrup, soy sauce, minced garlic, vinegar, paprika, and thyme. Simmer 3-4 minutes until thickened.
  • Heat oil in skillet over medium-high. Sear chicken skin-side down 5-7 minutes until crispy, then flip and cook 2 minutes.
  • Brush chicken with glaze, transfer skillet to oven, and bake 20-25 minutes until cooked through. Brush with more glaze halfway.
  • Rest chicken 5 minutes, then serve with drizzled remaining glaze.

Notes

Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) for safety.
