A delicious plant-based dish featuring crispy baked tofu coated in a sweet and savory honey soy glaze.

Ingredients

Tofu

  • 14 oz extra-firm tofu
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)
  • to taste Black pepper
  • 1 stalk green onion (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat tofu dry, cut into cubes, and toss with cornstarch.
  • Arrange tofu on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Mix soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, sesame oil in a bowl to make the sauce.
  • Once baked, toss tofu in a pan with cooking oil over medium heat, add sauce, and cook until coated and glossy.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle with sliced green onions before serving.
