A quick and wholesome breakfast featuring creamy oats topped with nuts and honey for natural sweetness.

Ingredients

liquids

  • 1 1/2 cups water

dry ingredients

  • 3/4 cup quick cooking oats
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp honey

toppings

  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (mix of almonds and walnuts)

Instructions 

  • Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan.
  • Add oats and cinnamon, then simmer on low.
  • Cook and stir for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  • Transfer to a bowl.
  • Top with nuts and drizzle honey.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle a little more cinnamon or add fresh fruit.
