High-Protein Creamy Beef Pasta

A delicious high-protein pasta dish combining lean beef, whole wheat pasta, and creamy Greek yogurt for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 400 g whole wheat or high-protein pasta

Meat

  • 500 g lean ground beef (90% lean recommended)

Oils & Aromatics

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Sauces & Liquids

  • 1 cup crushed tomatoes (no added sugar)
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt (or ¼ cup light cream)
  • ½ cup low-sodium beef broth

Spices & Seasonings

  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ¾ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan (optional, for topping)

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente; reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet; cook diced onion 3–4 minutes until soft.
  • Add garlic; cook 30 seconds until fragrant. Add ground beef; cook 6–8 minutes until browned. Season with salt, pepper, oregano, and paprika.
  • Stir in crushed tomatoes and beef broth; simmer 5 minutes. Reduce heat; mix in Greek yogurt until creamy.
  • Add cooked pasta and a splash of reserved pasta water; toss to coat and cook 1–2 minutes. Rest 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.
