1 1/2cupslukewarm Festbier (around 100°F)
1packetinstant or active dry yeast
1tablespoonunsalted butter (divided)
1teaspoonsalt
3 3/4cupsall-purpose flour (leveled)
coarse sea salt or kosher saltfor sprinkling
1/2cupbaking soda
9cupswater
Instructions
Preheat grill and cook bratwurst until browned and cooked through, about 15-20 minutes.
Sauté sliced onions in 2 tablespoons of butter until caramelized, about 10 minutes.
Prepare pretzels by boiling water with baking soda, then shape dough, boil briefly, sprinkle with coarse salt, and bake at 450°F (230°C) for 12-15 minutes.
