A fun and spooky layered dip perfect for Halloween parties, combining creamy guacamole, cheesy layers, and crispy tortilla shapes.

Ingredients

Layer 1: Refried Beans

  • 1 can refried beans

Layer 2: Greek Yogurt Mixture

  • 1.5 cups plain nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 3 oz Greek cream cheese (or Neufchatel), softened
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons Mexican hot sauce
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons chili powder (or green chile powder, onion powder, garlic powder, cumin)

Guacamole Layer

  • 2 to 3 ripe avocadoes
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cilantro pesto or chopped cilantro (optional)
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and chopped fine

Cheese and Toppings

  • about 1 cup shredded Mexican blend of cheeses
  • as needed Your favorite salsa
  • green onions & olives chopped
  • as needed Flour tortillas, cut into tombstone and tree shapes
  • black food marker for decorating

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Spread refried beans in an 11-cup glass pan.
  • Mix Greek yogurt, cream cheese, hot sauce, and chili powder; spread over beans.
  • Mash avocados with lemon juice, cilantro, and garlic; spread over yogurt layer.
  • Top with cheese, salsa, green onions, and olives. Bake tortilla shapes until crisp, then decorate with marker.

Notes

Use a black food marker to add fun details to the tortilla tombstones and trees.
