Delight in these spooky and adorable ghost cupcakes perfect for Halloween or any fun occasion.

Ingredients

Cake and Filling

  • 1 box chocolate or devils food cake mix
  • 1 box chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tsp espresso powder (optional)
  • 2 cups vanilla buttercream
  • black frosting frosting

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line muffin tins with paper liners.
  • Mix cake mix, pudding mix, sour cream, water, oil, eggs, and espresso powder until fully combined.
  • Fill liners 3/4 full and bake for 15 minutes. Cool completely.
  • Pipe vanilla buttercream onto cooled cupcakes to form tall domes.
  • Use black frosting with a small tip to create eyes on each ghost.

Notes

For best results, use a piping bag with a large round tip for the frosting and a small tip for the eyes.
