Delicious and easy-to-make nachos topped with seasoned beef, cheese, and fresh toppings, perfect for a quick snack or party appetizer.

Ingredients

Meat and Seasonings

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade)
  • 0.75 cup water

Toppings and Extras

  • 1 bag tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend)
  • 1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 0.5 cup diced red onion
  • 0.5 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • 0.5 cup diced tomatoes or salsa
  • 0.25 cup sliced black olives (optional)
  • 0.25 cup chopped cilantro (optional)

Serving condiments

  • Sour cream, guacamole, and/or salsa for serving

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned; drain excess fat.
  • Add taco seasoning and water; simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Spread tortilla chips on a baking sheet; layer beef, beans, and cheese.
  • Add optional toppings; bake for 8–10 minutes until cheese melts. Garnish with cilantro and serve with condiments.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add more jalapeños or hot sauce.
