A comforting and flavorful beef stroganoff that comes together quickly with tender beef, mushrooms, and creamy sauce served over egg noodles.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 12 ounces egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1.5 pounds thinly sliced beef steak (petite shoulder)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 12 ounces cremini mushrooms
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups low sodium beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • cup sour cream
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Chopped Fresh Parsley

Instructions 

  • Cook egg noodles according to package instructions and drain.
  • Brown beef in butter, remove and set aside. Cook onions and mushrooms in the same pan until soft and browned.
  • Add garlic and flour; cook 2 minutes. Stir in beef broth, Worcestershire, and mustard; simmer until thickened.
  • Remove from heat, stir in sour cream, season with salt and pepper. Add noodles and beef, warm through.

Notes

Use fresh parsley for garnish for added flavor and color.
