This vibrant fruit salad combines fresh fruits with a zesty honey-lime dressing, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (can be substituted with raspberries or cherries.)
  • 1 cup diced fresh pineapple (alternative: use mango.)
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries (mix with blackberries if desired.)
  • 2 pieces kiwi fruit (substitute with green grapes if preferred.)
  • 1 cup seedless red grapes (can replace with green grapes.)
  • 1 large banana (add just before serving.)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint (omit if not available.)
  • 1 tablespoon zest of orange
  • 1 tablespoon zest of lime (orange juice can replace lime.)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (substitute with maple syrup for vegan option.)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (opt for almond extract for a twist.)
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional; can substitute with chia seeds.)

Instructions 

  • Wash and slice the strawberries, dice the pineapple, cut the kiwi, and halve the grapes.
  • Combine orange zest, lime zest, honey, vanilla extract, and poppy seeds in a bowl and whisk.
  • In a large bowl, combine the chopped fruits except for the banana and toss gently.
  • Pour the honey-lime dressing over the fruits and gently toss to coat.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Just before serving, slice and add the banana, garnishing with fresh mint.

Notes

For a refreshing twist, try adding a splash of coconut water.
