These adorable Frankenstein cookie bars are a fun and festive treat perfect for Halloween!

Ingredients

Baking Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (15.25 ounce)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 113 grams butter (melted)
  • 170 grams unsalted butter (softened)
  • 360 grams powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2-4 tbsp milk (as needed)
  • Green food coloring
  • 1 cup black candy melts
  • 36 large candy eyes

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 inch pan.
  • Mix cake mix, eggs, and melted butter; press into pan.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes; cool completely.
  • Beat softened butter, add powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt; mix until fluffy.
  • Add green food coloring to frosting; spread over cooled bars.
  • Decorate with melted candy and candy eyes; let set before serving.

Notes

Chill the bars for cleaner cuts when serving.
