A refreshing and tangy cucumber salad perfect for hot days or as a side dish.

Ingredients

Vegetables

  • 2 pieces English cucumbers (thinly sliced)
  • 1 small white onion (thinly sliced)
  • 0.5 cup white vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons fresh dill (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt (each)
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper (each)

Instructions 

  • Slice cucumbers into thin slices.
  • Thinly slice the onion into half rings.
  • Combine cucumbers, onions, dill, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight.
  • Serve with a slotted spoon, seasoning with additional salt and pepper if desired.

Notes

Use fresh dill for the best flavor and refrigerate to enhance the tangy taste.
