Delight in these cheesy, savory stuffed shells filled with seasoned ground beef and ricotta, baked to perfection with marinara and mozzarella.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 12 large pasta shells (For stuffing)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (Your favorite kind)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper Salt and pepper (For seasoning)
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (Divided between filling and topping)
  • to taste Fresh parsley or basil Fresh parsley or basil (Optional, for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta shells according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef with garlic and onion powders until browned; season with salt and pepper.
  • Mix cooked beef with ricotta cheese and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  • Stuff each shell with the beef and cheese mixture, then place in a baking dish topped with marinara sauce and remaining mozzarella.
  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add a sprinkle of grated Parmesan on top before baking.
