A quick and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken breasts in a rich, creamy garlic sauce, perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 4 pieces chicken breasts (approx. 600g) (Ensure they are thawed if using frozen.)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (For cooking the chicken.)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced (Fresh garlic adds the most flavor.)
  • 1 cup heavy cream (Substitutes can include half-and-half or sour cream.)
  • 1 cup chicken broth (Use low-sodium broth for better flavor.)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • to taste Salt and pepper (Adjust to preference.)
  • for garnish Fresh parsley, chopped (For serving.)

Instructions 

  • Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken until golden and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Simmer until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
  • Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over, and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add a splash of white wine or grated Parmesan cheese.
