Ingredients

Vegetables

  • 4 pieces cucumbers (chilled, half-peeled, thinly sliced) (Chilled for crispness)
  • 1 small small red onion (sliced)
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground white pepper or black pepper
  • to taste flakey sea salt Flakey sea salt
  • to taste chopped fresh dill Chopped fresh dill (for garnish)
  • to taste freshly-cracked pepper Freshly-cracked pepper (for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Combine cucumber and red onion in a large bowl.
  • Mix sour cream, mayonnaise, dill, and pepper in a separate bowl.
  • Toss dressing with cucumber and onion; chill for at least 15 minutes.
  • Garnish with sea salt, additional dill, and pepper before serving.

Notes

Use fresh dill for best flavor and chill the salad before serving for maximum crunch.
