A flavorful and creamy pasta dish with Cajun-spiced chicken, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste Salt and pepper (to season chicken and pasta water)
  • 12 oz penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional) Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Red pepper flakes Red pepper flakes (to taste)
  • Fresh lemon juice Lemon juice (for flavor)

Instructions 

  • Season chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear chicken 5-7 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add heavy cream, chicken broth, and smoked paprika; simmer.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese until sauce is creamy. Slice chicken and add to the sauce with cooked pasta. Finish with lemon juice, parsley, and red pepper flakes.

Notes

For extra flavor, add sautéed vegetables or shrimp.
