Cinnamon Swirled Banana Bread

A moist and flavorful banana bread with a cinnamon swirl, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

Batter

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1.5 cups mashed ripe banana (about 4 bananas)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 6 thin slices ripe banana, for garnishing

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • Mix melted butter and sugar, then add eggs and vanilla. Fold in flour and baking soda, then mashed bananas.
  • Prepare cinnamon swirl by mixing cinnamon and sugars; add melted butter if too thick.
  • Layer 1/4 of batter in pan, swirl with 1 tbsp cinnamon mixture, then repeat layers, finishing with swirl and banana slices on top.
  • Bake for 60-70 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before removing from pan.

Notes

For best results, do not overmix the batter to keep the bread moist and tender.
