Dough
3cupsall purpose flour(375 g)
1/4cupgranulated sugar
2 1/4tspactive dry yeast
1/2tspsalt
56gbutter(1/2 stick or 2 oz)
1/3cupwhole milk
1/4cupwater
2largeeggs(room temperature)
1tspvanilla extract
Filling
1cupgranulated sugar
2tspground cinnamon
1/2tspground nutmeg
56gbutter(browned)
Instructions
Mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt; set aside.
Heat milk and butter, then add water and vanilla; cool to room temperature.
Combine wet and dry ingredients, add eggs, and knead until dough is sticky but smooth. Let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
Prepare cinnamon sugar filling and browned butter. Roll out dough, spread butter, sprinkle cinnamon sugar, cut into strips, and layer in pan. Let rise 30-45 minutes.
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30-35 minutes until golden. Rest, then invert onto a platter and serve warm.
