Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
Cut in the frozen diced butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Mix in sour cream and egg until just combined.
Fold in cinnamon chips. Turn dough onto a floured surface and gently knead. Pat into a 1-inch thick circle and cut into wedges.
Place scones on a baking sheet, brush with heavy cream, and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Mix powdered sugar with milk and cinnamon to make glaze. Drizzle over cooled scones before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use full-fat sour cream and butter.
