Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • 1 cup Chickpea Flour (The star of the show, providing a nutty flavor and essential structure.)
  • ¾ cup Nondairy Milk (Almond or cashew milk are great alternatives.)
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice (Acts as a curdling agent for the milk.)
  • 2 tbsp Whole Psyllium Husks (Helps bind the dough and retain moisture.)
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder (Ensures lightness in texture without yeast.)
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda (Works alongside baking powder for a fluffy naan.)
  • ½ tsp Salt (Enhances the overall flavor beautifully.)
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder (For a flavorful twist.)
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil (Any neutral oil works well.)
  • 1 tbsp Nonstick Cooking Spray (To keep your skillet non-stick.)

Instructions

  • Mix chickpea flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and garlic powder in a bowl.
  • Add lemon juice to nondairy milk and let sit for a minute, then combine with dry ingredients along with oil and psyllium husks. Mix until a smooth dough forms.
  • Divide dough into 4 balls and flatten into round discs.
  • Heat a skillet with nonstick spray over medium heat. Cook each naan for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Serve warm with your favorite toppings or dips.

Notes

Ensure the dough is well mixed for the best texture, and cook on medium heat to prevent burning.
