Dry ingredients
1cupChickpea Flour(The star of the show, providing a nutty flavor and essential structure.)
¾cupNondairy Milk(Almond or cashew milk are great alternatives.)
1tbspLemon Juice(Acts as a curdling agent for the milk.)
2tbspWhole Psyllium Husks(Helps bind the dough and retain moisture.)
1tspBaking Powder(Ensures lightness in texture without yeast.)
½tspBaking Soda(Works alongside baking powder for a fluffy naan.)
½tspSalt(Enhances the overall flavor beautifully.)
1tspGarlic Powder(For a flavorful twist.)
1tbspVegetable Oil(Any neutral oil works well.)
1tbspNonstick Cooking Spray(To keep your skillet non-stick.)
Instructions
Mix chickpea flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and garlic powder in a bowl.
Add lemon juice to nondairy milk and let sit for a minute, then combine with dry ingredients along with oil and psyllium husks. Mix until a smooth dough forms.
Divide dough into 4 balls and flatten into round discs.
Heat a skillet with nonstick spray over medium heat. Cook each naan for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
Serve warm with your favorite toppings or dips.
Notes
Ensure the dough is well mixed for the best texture, and cook on medium heat to prevent burning.
