A quick and flavorful pasta dish featuring fresh cherry tomatoes and basil, perfect for a light meal.

Ingredients

Cherry Tomatoes

  • 1 lb cherry tomatoes (washed and halved)
  • 8 oz spaghetti (or pasta of choice)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves (torn)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  • Wash and halve the cherry tomatoes.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant.
  • Add tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, simmer until soft.
  • Cook pasta until al dente, reserve 1 cup pasta water.
  • Combine pasta with tomato sauce, add reserved water as needed.
  • Mix in basil, top with Parmesan, serve.

Notes

Use fresh basil for the best flavor and adjust salt and pepper to taste.
