Cheesy Sloppy Cheeseburger Pasta

A quick and hearty pasta dish combining the flavors of a cheeseburger with the comfort of pasta, topped with melted cheddar and optional pickles.

Ingredients

Meat and Pasta

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni

Vegetables and Seasonings

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste Salt and pepper

Sauce and Cheese

  • 1 can (15 oz) sloppy joe sauce
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Garnish

  • Sliced pickles, for garnish (optional) sliced pickles (optional)

Instructions 

  • Cook beef and onion: Sauté ground beef and chopped onion until browned and soft. Drain excess fat.
  • Season and add sauce: Stir in garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, then add sloppy joe sauce. Mix well.
  • Add pasta and water: Stir in uncooked macaroni and cover with about 2 cups water. Bring to a boil.
  • Simmer: Reduce heat and cook uncovered for 12-14 minutes until pasta is tender and liquid is absorbed.
  • Finish with cheese: Remove from heat, stir in shredded cheddar until melted. Serve topped with pickles if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, add chopped pickles on top before serving.
