Instructions
Cook apples with butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice until tender and caramelized.
Prepare vanilla pudding with milk as per package instructions and chill.
Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
Layer apples, pudding, pound cake cubes, whipped cream, and pecans in a trifle dish. Drizzle with caramel.
Repeat layers and finish with whipped cream, pecans, and caramel drizzle. Chill before serving.
Notes
For best results, prepare the trifle a few hours in advance to allow flavors to meld.
