Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  • Brown the ground beef in a large pot; drain excess fat.
  • Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until translucent.
  • Stir in diced tomatoes and drained beans; season with chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour in beef broth and simmer for at least 30 minutes.
  • Serve hot, topped with shredded cheese and sour cream.

Notes

This chili can be made ahead and tastes even better the next day.
