A hearty and flavorful dish combining ground beef, rice, and vegetables, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Meat and grains

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas (optional)
  • 1/2 cup diced carrots (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions 

  • Rinse rice until water runs clear; set aside.
  • Cook onion in oil until translucent, add garlic, then brown beef.
  • Add spices, rice, broth, and vegetables; simmer covered for 15 minutes.
  • Check rice for tenderness, then let sit covered for 5 minutes.
  • Fluff rice, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

You can add more vegetables or adjust spices to taste.
