Ingredients

Rice

  • 1 cup uncooked white rice (Rinsed until water runs clear)
  • 2 cups water

Meat

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 red bell pepper diced red bell pepper
  • 2 green onions chopped green onions (plus extra for garnish)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Rinse rice until water runs clear, then cook with water until tender.
  • In a skillet, sauté garlic in sesame oil, add beef and cook until browned.
  • Add bell pepper, soy sauce, brown sugar, salt, and pepper; cook until peppers are tender.
  • Fluff cooked rice and serve topped with beef mixture, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a dash of chili flakes or hot sauce.
