A vibrant and flavorful salad featuring crispy fried shrimp tossed in a spicy, creamy Bang Bang sauce, served over fresh greens and vegetables.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined

Breading

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 eggs beaten eggs

Frying Oil

  • Vegetable oil Vegetable oil, for frying (enough to submerge shrimp)

Salad & Vegetables

  • 4 cups mixed salad greens (romaine, leaf lettuce)
  • 1 cup red cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup cucumber, sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 green onions chopped green onions
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions 

  • Rinse shrimp, pat dry, then prepare flour mixture.
  • Dip shrimp in eggs, coat with flour mixture, then fry until golden, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Mix mayonnaise, chili sauce, Sriracha, honey, rice vinegar, and garlic powder to make sauce.
  • Toss fried shrimp with half of the sauce. Combine greens, cabbage, cucumber, carrots, and green onions in a bowl.
  • Serve salad topped with coated shrimp, drizzle remaining sauce, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For extra crunch, double fry the shrimp or add crushed peanuts on top.
