Ingredients

Bread

  • 2 slices whole-grain or sourdough bread

Avocado

  • 1 ripe avocado ripe avocado (Choose a perfectly ripe avocado.)

Olive Oil

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (Used for cooking the eggs.)

Salt and Pepper

  • to taste Salt and pepper (To taste)

Red Pepper Flakes

  • optional Red pepper flakes (Optional, for added heat.)

Fresh Herbs

  • optional Fresh cilantro or parsley (For garnish, optional.)

Lemon Juice

  • optional Lemon juice (Optional, for added flavor.)

Eggs

  • 2 large large eggs

Instructions 

  • Toast the bread slices until golden brown.
  • Mash the ripe avocado and spread evenly on the toasted bread.
  • Heat olive oil in a pan and cook the eggs to your preferred doneness.
  • Place the cooked eggs on top of the avocado toast.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired. Garnish with fresh herbs and a squeeze of lemon juice.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a dash of hot sauce or a sprinkle of cheese.
