A hearty and comforting casserole combining seasoned ground beef, mushrooms, and onions topped with mashed potatoes and cheese for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 pound ground beef (Use lean ground beef to reduce grease.)
  • 1 piece onion (Chopped)
  • 1 cup mushrooms (Sliced)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • to taste Salt and pepper (Add as desired)
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes (Prepared, homemade or instant)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Optional, your favorite type)

Instructions 

  • Cook ground beef with chopped onion and sliced mushrooms until browned.
  • Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Spread the cooked beef mixture in a baking dish.
  • Top with prepared mashed potatoes and shredded cheese.
  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Notes

You can customize the cheese or add herbs for extra flavor.
